AxizWorkgroup Appointed as New Value Added Distributor in Africa for SimpliVity

SimpliVity, a leader in hyper-converged infrastructure revolutionising enterprise IT, and AxizWorkgroup, one of the biggest distributors in Africa, announced an agreement to deliver world-class hyper-converged infrastructure solutions to resellers and their customers in the Africa Region. Specifically, SimpliVity’s OmniStack Integrated Solutions.

In 2011 Axiz and Workgroup – both established in 1989 – merged their operations to create South Africa’s leading IT infrastructure and software distributor. Since then, AxizWorkgroup has become the most valued channel for vendors and customers, showing the passion and commitment necessary to maintaining the highest levels of service and customer satisfaction.

AxizWorkgroup’s expansive knowledge of the ICT industry has enabled the distributor to provide end-to-end innovative technology and professional solutions to its reseller base. This is largely due to a product portfolio that consists of over 50 of the world’s leading IT brands and a team geared to drive adoption of next generation technologies.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Pinnacle Holdings Group of Companies, AxizWorkgroup endeavours to be more conscious of our environmental and social footprint as we continue to work towards our goal of becoming your distributor of choice in South Africa and the SADC Regions.

AxizWorkgroup’s Advanced Technology Unit has inked a distribution agreement with SimpliVity. SimpliVity is a leader in hyper-converged systems and is recognised by Gartner, The IDC, etc.

AxizWorkgroup is proud to be associated with SimpliVity and the partnership is already bearing fruit. AxizWorkgroup is fully technically qualified as a build centre and utilise Cisco UCS, Dell or Lenovo compute platforms in its solutions. With its operational POC equipment AxizWorkgroup is able to demonstrate the value SimpliVity contribute to data centre architecture.

SimpliVity’s solution combines all IT infrastructure and data services below the hypervisor onto highly efficient and scalable x86 building blocks. Designed to be vendor-agnostic, OmniStack Integrated Solutions will be offered by SimpliVity and AxizWorkgroup to resellers to help their customers reduce datacenter costs, improve operational efficiency, mitigate risk, and simplify management.

“Building up a company in a region takes extremely hard work, but one can only scale as far as your resources allow you to. Without skills and dedication, you will come to a point where you reach a ceiling and for this reason one needs partners” said Christo Briedenhann, Regional Director Africa. “SimpliVity as a company are a Channel Based company and we are driven to do as much as we possibly can through our channel. In Africa we have grown significantly in the last two years and we realised if we want to continue our growth, we need to partner with a Value Added Distributor who can help us to drive our strategy to be vendor-agnostic. SimpliVity distributors deliver the value of a differentiated, disruptive hyper-convergence solution backed by the co-marketing, discounts, training and support to drive successful reseller relationships and business growth”.

“With our go-to-market success exclusively driven by partners, we are extremely excited with AxizWorkgroup on-boarding as another Distributor in our region. With their strong alliance to our Alliance partners (VMware, Cisco, Lenovo and Dell) we can continue to build a solid business across the Africa region. In today’s rapidly changing business environment, status quo is no longer an option. That’s why our Partner program is designed with simplicity, speed and the bottom line in mind. Our partner engagement program provides a high level of channel and field engagement, significant marketing investment and support, and enablement tools that help partners to ramp up quickly. With AxizWorkgroup onboard we have a strong team who can jointly develop the channel relationship and development across the Sub Sahara region” said Briedenhann.

By having Axiz onboard we have a Value Added Distributor who can offer in-country integration as an authorized x86 platform distributor and in this regards they have configuration, integration and accompanying logistic capabilities on the x86 platform.

Axiz and SimpliVity are extremely excited about the opportunity to offer a complete and integrated Hyper-converged solution to partners and end users.
