AxizWorkgroup enables learning through IT

AxizWorkgroup took part in The Digital Education Show that was held at the Sandton Convention Centre from the 18th – 19th October 2016, showcasing its comprehensive educational ICT solution.
AxizWorkgroup’s expansive knowledge of the ICT industry enables the distributor to provide end-to-end innovative technology and professional solutions. The goal is to make a change in the education sector through advancing the technology used there.
This solution encompasses a range of products that includes Locker and Notelockers which can be used to store and charge tablets simultaneously, ensuring equipment is kept safe and works efficiently – always. The latest additions to the distributor’s solution stable are the eBeam edge + and Equil Smartmarker. The eBeam edge +, a plug and play wireless adapter that allows you to place your computer up to 50 meters from your interactive space, works in tandem with the Smartmarker allowing you to capture, share and stream live notes from any whiteboard surface – straight to your chosen device.
According to Gerry Vletter, Relationship Sales Manager at AxizWorkgroup, it is a government requirement that Service Providers give back to the community and AxizWorkgroup sees their unique solution as the perfect opportunity to do just that. The solution can also easily be adapted to suit any school’s requirement and budget. Together with the learning materials that are provided and continuously kept up to date, this truly is the digital classroom of the future. Safe, secure, practical, mobile and affordable.
Kabelo Selekolo from IQ Business said: “This solution is mind-blowing and something we would even incorporate when presenting to large groups. I think this will have a massive impact on improving efficiency in the education sector.”
Esther Jones, Founder and Managing Director of VAP Interactive, visited the distributor’s stand at The Digital Education Show and was very impressed with the solution. “This is something we could incorporate into our own product, improving upon both solutions. I like how AxizWorkgroup simplified the solution to a point where it is effortlessly efficient and meets all the needs of the target audience.”

About Us

AxizWorkgroup was formed in April 2011 when Axiz – a leading hardware distributor – and Workgroup – a powerful software distributor – joined forces to take their expertise and best-of-breed practices to the African market.

Axiz, a leading distributor of world class hardware products as well as its own branded range, opened its doors in 1989. The company’s commitment to a strict channel-only policy was extended into the merger.  Workgroup was also established in 1989 when it was appointed as the first Microsoft distributor in South Africa.

Workgroup was well known within the South African IT market as a successful specialist knowledge distributor of software and value-based hardware products. Workgroup’s core strength was rooted in being able to predict and integrate with its vendors and resellers’ needs. Known for offering extensive dealer reach with on-going and consistent market penetration, Workgroup brought this key factor into the new entity.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Pinnacle Holdings Group of Companies, the AxizWorkgroup joint entity is positioned to powerfully contribute to the group vision to be the most respected provider of ICT products and services to the African continent based on superior domain knowledge underscored by unparalleled service commitment.
