AxizWorkgroup adds Forcepoint to its stable

AxizWorkgroup has recently added Forcepoint to its stable of over 50 brands. The latest addition, which specialises in computer security software, will be added to the host of security solutions offered by the Distributor.
Forcepoint is a great addition to the company’s brand portfolio with the distributor having recently launched its own cloud-based solution. Both Forcepoint and AxizWorkgroup have adopted a business model aimed at embracing transformative technologies and moving forward by riding the wave of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
With the advances made in Cloud technology, mobility and the Internet of Things, users are in need of a platform that safeguards them, their network and their data while ensuring the efficient management, and collaboration, of various security products.
Alessandro Postiglioni, BU Manager – Security, says: “We believe that ForcePoint and AxizWorkgroup both share the same views on the importance of IT Security in our fast paced and ever changing IT threat landscape. We have aligned perfectly to provide our customers with a complete IT security solution ensuring we maintain optimum levels of customer satisfaction in all aspects.”
Forcepoint’s platform protects against insider threats (accidental and malicious) as well as outside attackers, rapidly detects breaches, minimises “dwell time” – the period between compromise and remediation – and stops theft. With Forcepoint, organisations can protect users, networks and data in the cloud, on the road, and in the office. We simplify compliance, enable better decision-making and streamline security so that our customers can concentrate on what’s important to them.
Our approach is to provide a unified cloud-centric platform to defend against attacks, detect suspicious activity sooner, and give the context needed to decide what actions to take to defeat the attack and stop data theft. Defend, detect, decide, defeat.
According to Alessandro “AxizWorkgroup empowers its Partners to:
• Safeguard users, data and networks
• Combat the most determined adversaries – insiders and outsiders
• Simplify compliance, enable better decision-making to streamline security
• Focus on what matters most to move your business forward
Forcepoint was created by uniting the user protection, data security and cloud expertise of Websense with the defense-grade insider threat and analytics technology of Raytheon and the next-generation network protection capabilities of Stonesoft.
AxizWorkgroup has:
• Years of experience and the financial commitment necessary to build and distribute sophisticated, integrated systems
• The ongoing ability to commercialise a unique set of expertise gained on the harshest cyber frontlines
• A passion to relentlessly pursue solutions that empower our customers to move their business forward with cloud, mobility and other disruptive advances while simplifying their security environment
In conclusion, AxizWorkgroup and ForcePoint’s partnership strives for industry-leading growth and long-term success by actively planning and strategically aligning our efforts between Vendor/Distributor adding strategic value to every Partner, achieving success over the short and long-term.

About Us

AxizWorkgroup was formed in April 2011 when Axiz – a leading hardware distributor – and Workgroup – a powerful software distributor – joined forces to take their expertise and best-of-breed practices to the African market.

Axiz, a leading distributor of world class hardware products as well as its own branded range, opened its doors in 1989. The company’s commitment to a strict channel-only policy was extended into the merger.  Workgroup was also established in 1989 when it was appointed as the first Microsoft distributor in South Africa.

Workgroup was well known within the South African IT market as a successful specialist knowledge distributor of software and value-based hardware products. Workgroup’s core strength was rooted in being able to predict and integrate with its vendors and resellers’ needs. Known for offering extensive dealer reach with on-going and consistent market penetration, Workgroup brought this key factor into the new entity.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Pinnacle Holdings Group of Companies, the AxizWorkgroup joint entity is positioned to powerfully contribute to the group vision to be the most respected provider of ICT products and services to the African continent based on superior domain knowledge underscored by unparalleled service commitment.
