AxizWorkgroup now distributes Authlogics
AxizWorkgroup has been named the first local distributor of Authlogics, a specialist in multi-factor authentication and a Curve Group company, and will deliver authentication solutions to resellers in Africa.
Authlogics provides an alternative to traditional authentication and transaction verification methods and introduced the concept of one-and-a-half factor sign-on. As a core authentication solution for the Curve Banking platform, Authlogics forms part of the company’s incubation engine, Curve Systems.
“We believe that moving away from password-based authentication is inevitable and we look forward to driving the adoption of a new generation of solutions among businesses in Africa with AxizWorkgroup”, says Steven Hope, CEO of Authlogics.
Authlogics solutions are language independent, which is particularly valuable for African businesses that serve multiple language customers, and mitigate the reliance on passwords, pressure on the helpdesk, ensures compliance and improves customer experience through easy, secure login.
Alessandro Postiglioni, Business Unit Manager for Security at AxizWorkgroup, says: “We are excited to offer Authlogics to our reseller base and are ready to drive implementation of this next generation authentication technology.”
The Authlogics Gold Partner offers resellers account and project management, specialised security skills, national logistics and delivery infrastructure. The Authlogics Partner Programme includes software vendors, equipment manufacturers, system integrators and distributors who offer Authlogics authentication solutions.
Steven’s aim is to replace passwords, offer new solutions, increase employee productivity and secure applications, devices and data. “In an African context, we are looking to solve authentication challenges of clients and particularly those with an online presence, such as online retailers, cloud service providers and managed services.
“Our team is geared to drive adoption of Authlogics through the reseller channel and we look forward to taking this innovative solution to the African market,” concluded Postiglioni.
AxizWorkgroup was formed in April 2011 when Axiz – a leading hardware distributor – and Workgroup – a powerful software distributor – joined forces to take their expertise and best-of-breed practices to the African market.
Axiz, a leading distributor of world class hardware products as well as its own branded range, opened its doors in 1989. The company’s commitment to a strict channel-only policy was extended into the merger. Workgroup was also established in 1989 when it was appointed as the first Microsoft distributor in South Africa.
Workgroup was well known within the South African IT market as a successful specialist knowledge distributor of software and value-based hardware products. Workgroup’s core strength was rooted in being able to predict and integrate with its vendors and resellers’ needs. Known for offering extensive dealer reach with on-going and consistent market penetration, Workgroup brought this key factor into the new entity.
As a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Pinnacle Holdings Group of Companies, the AxizWorkgroup joint entity is positioned to powerfully contribute to the group vision to be the most respected provider of ICT products and services to the African continent based on superior domain knowledge underscored by unparalleled service commitment.read more
