Axiz scoops up HPE Award again!

Axiz has been named Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s Middle East, Mediterranean and Africa Top Value Add Distribution Partner of the Year 2017 at the annual Global Partner Summit. The event, which took place at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, recognises partners from all the HPE business spheres.

Axiz was chosen as the winner of this award due to outstanding performance and accomplishments, by partners, which resulted in the increase of standards for business excellence and customer satisfaction.

Axiz‘s excellent financial performance and continued efforts to drive meaningful business results for the customers they share with HPE, made them the top contender for the MEMA Top Value Add Distribution Partner of the Year.

Jim Holland, Executive for HPE at Axiz, is extremely proud of the achievement. “This award means a lot to the team. Being recognised by HPE as the leading value added distributor in MEMA is a significant achievement and is reward for all hard work that we’ve done. Embracing new technologies and taking them to market with our business partners is key to our success. HPE themselves have been busy with acquisitions and Axiz has responded well in embracing these technologies as quickly and effectively as possible. We are the only SimpliVity integration distribution partner in Africa, we have embraced HPE’s Synergy technology and have been instrumental in closing the first few Synergy deals in South Africa. We have invested in a Synergy solution in our demo centre and have been inundated with interest from channel partners and end users – this kit is here for customers to test in a live environment, which means that we have a technical resource available to ensure that the experience reflects the superb technology that HPE brings.”

According to Holland the team at Axiz has recently been appointed as an X86 installation & start-up partner and are installing HPE compute solutions in an official capacity.

“We are ramping our services business so that our channel partners (and their customers) are able to leverage off our skills and expertise. Our technical & presales teams have been focusing on getting ready to support our channel with HPE’s hyper-converged play. Embracing Synergy, SimpliVity and incorporating Nimble storage into our 3Par offering will be key going forward. The adoption of Proliant, 3Par and Aruba technology in our own business is testament to our fundamental belief that this is the technology that leads the way and will bring significant benefit to the business as a whole – in an ever changing environment, we need to be leading the way in taking these solutions to market and supporting our partners on the HPE journey. Our relationship with the Hewlett Packard Enterprise organisation is symbiotic, key to our mutual success and we will continue to work hand in hand with them.”

About Us

AxizWorkgroup was formed in April 2011 when Axiz – a leading hardware distributor – and Workgroup – a powerful software distributor – joined forces to take their expertise and best-of-breed practices to the African market.

Axiz, a leading distributor of world class hardware products as well as its own branded range, opened its doors in 1989. The company’s commitment to a strict channel-only policy was extended into the merger.  Workgroup was also established in 1989 when it was appointed as the first Microsoft distributor in South Africa.

Workgroup was well known within the South African IT market as a successful specialist knowledge distributor of software and value-based hardware products. Workgroup’s core strength was rooted in being able to predict and integrate with its vendors and resellers’ needs. Known for offering extensive dealer reach with on-going and consistent market penetration, Workgroup brought this key factor into the new entity.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Pinnacle Holdings Group of Companies, the AxizWorkgroup joint entity is positioned to powerfully contribute to the group vision to be the most respected provider of ICT products and services to the African continent based on superior domain knowledge underscored by unparalleled service commitment.
