Axiz showcases its value at MyBroadband Conference 2017

According to Jacques Malherbe, CTO of Axiz and Managing Executive of Advanced Technologies, “Companies need to build a way to translate what they know into value for their customers.” Speaking at the MyBroadband Conference 2017 on 26 October, Malherbe emphasised the importance of a collaborative structure in the distribution channel to keep up with the rate of transformation.
“Organisations have been doing digital things for a while but the IP in the organisation has to transform. Where the opposing sides of an organisation start competing for resources, the key to success is balance and timing.”
Axiz partnered with MyBroadband and six of its vendors to demonstrate its collaborative functionality at the MyBroadband Conference. The stand featured these vendors as part of the Axiz ecosystem and highlighted the limitless capabilities on offer to customers when combining the technologies of its vendors.
Axiz selected Cisco, DellEMC, Logitech, Magic, McAfee, Microsoft and Thoughtspot to highlight how effectively the brands in the Axiz stable collaborate to bring best of breed solutions to market.
Axiz functions as a business platform to better enable customers on their digital transformation journey but stresses the fact that it will continue to work with the channel. Customers are the main driver for transformation and, according to Malherbe, organisations need to determine what would translate into value for them.
“This is where working together in an ecosystem strengthens all players in the value chain and opens them to actors they would never have imagined could become players on the platform. This is the key to spark innovation. Organisations need to ensure that they are able to take their value through the platform to the market and that it is relevant to customers and the community — relevance is time-sensitive”, said Malherbe.
“We are here to enable our partners to assist their customers more effectively. The channel is transforming and we have to transform with it by changing how we service the channel”, said Andrew Moodley, Chief Digital Officer at Axiz. “The traditional role of the distributor has to become more digitised in order for us to not only meet the requirements of our partners, but to anticipate them.”
The overriding message conveyed by the speakers on the day also spoke to digital transformation with Kyle Whitehill from Liquid Telecoms saying that people are disruptors, not technology. “People just use technology to disrupt and not all technology disrupts and adds value effectively simultaneously”, said Whitehill.
According to Malherbe, “Our competition will come from platform providers — native, new-born and companies that don’t exist yet, therefore survival will be determined by relevance.”
